A Mint Girl's Nursery

When I was pregnant with my daughter, people would always ask me what the theme of her nursery was going to be.  I think they always wanted to hear something like unicorns, or monkeys or something, but I just wanted a sweet little girl's room, and it turned out exactly the way I wanted it.

Full disclosure: this is no longer our daughter's room.  She is now in her big-girl room and our son is now in this room.  I'll be sharing his version of this room, soon!

Our nursery is a good size for a kiddo, and we could easily fit the crib, dresser (used as a changing table), glider, end table, and bookshelf, and we still have room to play.   For the walls, we went with Sherwin Williams Frostwork.  It's the most beautiful light mint color and we actually kept it for our son when he took over the room, and painted our daughter's big-girl room the same color.

The dresser is the Ikea Hemnes in White Stain, and we love this dresser.  The width and length are perfect for a changing table, and the drawers are a great size to grow with her as she gets older.

We actually purchased the glider from a friend of a friend a few years before getting pregnant.  She was done with it and we knew we'd need one in a few years, so we scooped this one up for only $35!

It's not the most stylish glider available, obviously, but it's served us well, and we have so many memories of snuggling and reading in this chair with both of our kiddos.

The giraffe art was a piece I found at Hobby Lobby, the guitar print is something I found on Pinterest, and I painted the 'you are so loved' canvas.

Our crib was from Target 5 years ago and it's no longer available, but here's a similar one.

And the sweet little bookshelf was handmade for me by my Grandpa when I was a little girl, and I gave it a coat of Sherwin Williams White Dogwood, to pass down to my daughter.

And we painted the inside of her closet pink, too. It was such a fun pop of color.

This room served our little girl so well, and it was so fun to bring her home to it.
